2 Days and 2 Nights on a Camel in the Desert

Day 1: Camel Adventure and Night at the Berber Camp

Your journey begins in Merzouga around 11:00 AM, where you will meet your Berber guide and the camels that will accompany you on this trek through Erg Chebbi, Morocco’s most famous dune landscape.

During the ride, you will cross the golden landscapes of the Sahara, enjoying the silence and peace that only the desert can offer. You will stop at a small oasis to relax, enjoy mint tea, and savor a traditional Moroccan lunch prepared by our cook.

After a well-deserved rest, you will continue your camel trek to the Berber camp, located in the heart of the desert. Upon arrival, you will receive a warm welcome with tea and traditional pastries.

Before sunset, climb one of the dunes to witness one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. The sky turns golden and orange as the sun slowly disappears behind the sandy horizon.

In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner under the stars, accompanied by Berber music and drumming around the fire. You will sleep in a traditional nomadic tent, fully immersed in the tranquility of the desert.

Day 2: Sunrise Over the Dunes and Return to Merzouga

It is recommended to wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Sahara dunes—an unforgettable natural spectacle. Seeing the sun slowly illuminate the golden sand is a magical experience not to be missed.

After breakfast, you will have time to try optional sandboarding or simply relax and enjoy the surroundings before beginning your return journey.

Later, you will ride your camel back to Merzouga, crossing the dunes that look completely different in the morning light. Alternatively, you can choose to return by 4×4 vehicle to the starting point.

You will arrive in the village around 9:00–10:00 AM, marking the end of a unique and unforgettable experience in the heart of the Sahara.
